June 22-23, 2018 ARRL Field Day Campout

2018-06-25 This weekend was the annual ARRL sponsored Field Day. The purpose is to get ham radio operators out of their houses and "base stations" into nature and make radio contacts with as many other Field Day stations as possible using battery or other emergency power from Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning. I and one friend set up our stations at our local RC Plane flying Club field and spent Saturday night. For a full report click here.
