Two Meter Portable J-pole

2022-03-10 While watching a YouTube video by K8MRD recently I was introduced to a small portable dual band J-pole antenna designed specifically for portable use. It was designed to be suspended from a tree branch or other support and fed at the bottom with coax. Further it rolls up into a very small and light weight plastic bag about 6" square. I've kind of wanted something to use portable on 2 meters but never did anything about it. Clearly an HT with a rubber ducky is very portable but also very limited. You need something that can easily be put up in the air a ways. Long story short, I got one which came yesterday. It is the DBJ-2 Portable dual band J-pole by Ed Fong. I took it to a park today and tried it out. It seems to fit the bill very well.
